What's the story with these. Local shop has a couple in the shelf. Are they as good as the president grant with a different face or just all together a different radio. Not really into CB too much but it's hard to pass up a must have if its worth it. FWIW, they also had some had some pc76's too

They are more akin to the Cobra 148GTL. Actually better. The new Cobra 148GTL NW/ST is a real junkpile actually. But the Uniden built Grant XL and LT really are very fine radios. Scoop one up while you still can . . .

Ok. Cool. I have to think on that. I think they are $150 plus tax. At least two on the shelf.

If they want that much moola, then it had better be spotless, have the original box and look like new and be free from hacks.
An offer of a warm handed reach around would be in order as well.

Sounds good so far.

I'd still look them over very carefully. I could pass most of my rigs and equipment off as "NIB" also. A little gentle cleaning and slap it back in it's original box and presto.

Not saying the guy is lying, but there sure seems to be a lot of new stuff floating around.

Don't know who you are dealing with here.
Who?

The Grant LT will work equally well on AM as it does on SSB. That can't be said about the Jackson. $150 for this radio is a fair deal - IMO. If you are looking for a decent CB with little SSB drift, this is one of the better ones.

I believe he was inferring the JA was/is supposed to be new and not an antique disguised as NIB.

If that LT is truly NIB, then yes, I would give $150. My cheeks will pucker and you'll have to tug the money from my hand, but that's the highest I'd go.

If I had x2 NIB LT's, I'd put 'em on ebay and let the fools have a go first.

Ok. Doesn't sound like it is something that I would kick myself for not getting down the road. I might pass. I don't really need another cb.
