Upcoming "NEW TIME CHANGES"

3 weeks earlier and 1 week longer . Roughly 30 more days of extra day light. Not much I can do about that huh .........

I use an analog watch, so this doesn't apply to me, but I am curious. Do digital watches usually adjust automatically for daylight savings time? If so, are the watch makers doing anything for those whose watches aren't compatible? I assume that those watches that set themselves by the atomic clock wouldn't be affected at all, right?

Dont`t know about watches or that sort of thing...

The reason I posted was because conputers will NOT adjust
to this new time change without the patch, unless and then
only possibly IF you have auto updates turned on and that
is only in XP or Vista.

John

I mean really ,what's the big deal with watches or a computer ? is it so hard to just change the damned time and date when need be ? Wow !! could you emagine if they took all of our remote controls away , they would riot in the streets . ;)

Well like I said, I have an analog watch so it's no big deal to me to change the time manually at all. I change the date manually 5 times a year and the time twice a year. The big deal might be that if someone's watch switches on the wrong day and they are not aware of it, they may be late waking up. I hate when the power goes out in the middle of the night and I wake up late because my alarm is flashing "12:00". Mabey just us working folks worry about getting up on time and fullfilling our commitments. I was just curious, but you seem to be getting worked up about it.

Is emagine like imagine, only in cyberspace? ;)

Another thing is without the patch in place and if you manually set the clock on your computer it will set it again automatically on the normal date for DST and then the time will be wrong. Not a big deal if you remember and do not have any programs that run automatically at preset times.

Thank you so much hillbilly for playing teacher with my spelling , but chances are , I'll spell it wrong again at another time. It's kind of like the time change , I'll just have to deal with it concerning anything that deals with time. I doubt I'll have to throw away my pc and buy a new one or throw away my wrist watches because of this. This reminds me of Y2K , that to was really no big deal to me either. Please feel free to correct me on any spelling or grammer mistakes I may have made. ;)

Wouldn't reseting the time in the CMOS(BIOS) settings on the computer, cure that.....Win 98 or newer? Just a thought. And also, thanks for the heads up Dealer.....I forgot all about it.
