Anyone run this cheap Spectrum Analyzer? Heck, it's only $95 for the dongle & PC software and covers from 24MHz - 800MHz. I'm specifically interested if it's accurate down to 24 MHz as claimed.

'Bout time they got one that's affordable...

I don't see anything that I couldn't do with my $30 TXCO RTL-SDR dongle we discussed last month.

Okay, I was searching Spectrum Analyzer. Thanks for the SDR link.

Am I right to understand that you by their RTL-SDR R820T2 RTL2832U 1PPM TCXO SMA dongle for $25, then you need to buy SDR software that would have a panadaptor component to use it as a Spectrum Analyzer?

If so what brand PC based SDR software do you recommend and how much does that add to the price of the system so to speak. I already have a Win 7 PC with an i3 processor that should work. Thanks.

I have not tried all of the individual software programs available here;

You should be able to find something that suit's your needs.

  • @ Geoexplorer69:
    Coax question. I just put up a new Sirio monsoon base antenna with 100’ of rg8u coax testing with myMFJ antenna analyzer shows 1.4 swr at 26.965mhz and a 1.1 at 27.405 mhz . When I checked the ohms it’s steady a 30 ohms across the entire bandwidth.
  • @ Geoexplorer69:
    Is 30 ohms worth worrying about in a 100’ run of rg8u ?
