I would like to add a BNC connector to my uniden washington is there any where I can tap in to the PPL/VFO to add my freq counter? To get a readout

Depends on your frequency counter, you will have to tap into your VCO or IF. Usually the output will be in the high range of 32 to 45 mHz and you counter will have to adjust for this. A buffer may also have to be used as input may be high and the addition of the counter may cause the VCO to unlock or give an error in output frequency.

Because the Uniden Washington has separate crystals for the USB/LSB TX offsets, the FC-347/FC-390 counters won't read properly on either sideband.

The AM mode will be correct, but USB will read high, and LSB will read low.

~Cheers~
