Seriously, don't let these two stop you. On one hand these fwits are few and far between. On the other hand, just think of the fun you could have with Doubleusevenxrayyankeezebraactual and Doubleusevenalphabrovocharlieportablethree without really trying?
The sequel to these two limp tubes isn't nearly as entertaining but here it goes.
§ 97.119 Station identification.
(a) Each amateur station, except a space station or telecommand station, must transmit its assigned call sign on its transmitting channel at the end of each communication, and at least every 10 minutes during a communication,~snip
So, when Doubleusevenxrayyankeezebraactual and Doubleusevenalphabrovocharlieportablethree took myself and another amateur (my wife ) to task for not identifying.
Ten minutes had not passed
We were not finished with our communication
Doubleusevenxrayyankeezebraactual and Doubleusevenalphabrovocharlieportablethree took it upon themselves to enforce the "will of the people" by first interrupting our conversation to demand identification by callsign, then purposely interfered with our communication citing 47 CFR§ 97.119 (a) as their legal right to enforce our compliance.
47 CFR § 97.101 General standards.
~snip
(d) No amateur operator shall willfully or maliciously interfere with or cause interference to any radio communication or signal.
25 CFR § 11.432 Impersonating a public servant.
At least that's what they received in the mail.
Since they were unwilling to release the frequency even if we had attempted to ID past the three minute mark and continued to chase the alligator (repeater time out) for nearly a half hour, this got the attention of the control operator.
So one of these dolts says to the owner of the machine "I I was fully justified ..."
Epilogue
I consider it a personal failing and a flaw in my character that when these two lids walked into a VE session I was attending for their upgrade...
I got up and left. I made eye contact with both of them before leaving. I just couldn't be a part of it . I have no idea if either upgraded or even continued in the amateur radio service
Normally I'm an easy going SOB. This time I was just an SOB.
