WARNING: MODIFICATION OF THIS DEVICE TO RECEIVE CELLULAR RADIOTELEPHONE SERVICE SIGNALS IS PROHIBITED UNDER FCC RULES AND FEDERAL LAW.

Why put this label, if:
A, Cellular devices cant be received with any analog radio as of today (2012)
B, 99.9% cannot be modded anyway to Receive that small part of 800mhz band ..?

Actually Analog service for cel phones is no longer
Maybe in places like Rural Alaska (Maybe)

However some 4-6 yrs ago All cel service went Digital.

Too bad..for digital does not get out anywhere as far as the older analog service did..
Analog used far higher power with typically far less drop offs.

Reason we went to digital service .
because far less bandwidth
(depending on the type of digital service..you got 3-20 calls in same bandwidth as a single analog cel call )
Also ofcourse with digital comes abilities for many more features
(gps, texting, harder to listen in on using often a type of digital trucking.. etc )

I find that since they went digital my dropped calls rate has plummeted while my coverage area has increased. The old analog phones would get noisy on fades to the point of not being able to understand the caller. The digital phones either have a solid noise free signal or nothing, there is no in the middle. I can't recall when the last time I dropped a call or couldn't get signal on my digital smart-phone. Maybe it's just because they have steadily increased service but I MUCH prefer the digital over the analog for the service reliability alone much less all the data services available with them. YYMV which in that case seek a different provider.
