LDMOS is cool stuff. But I would not buy from. He does not know what they are. His 2 "pill" amp is actually 4. Each device has 2 mosfet's in it. So his 1 pill is a 2 pill, his 2 pill has 4 mosfet's. Each device is rated at 1200-1400 watts, so to get 2500 he has 2 devices, or in CB lingo, 4 "pills".

Don't ever try to talk reality to a CB amp builder.
I wonder if he exceeded the maximum safe RF level dosage? A mind is a terrible thing to microwave!

He is trying to make it look like he can build something that will withstand infinite SWR. In reality it has nothing to do with his abilities and has everything to do with the LDMOS unit he is using. I have seen 1.2 Kw LDMOS chips produce full power into both an open circuit and then into a dead short and not suffer any damage. Not so sure I would want to do it if I had to purchase them myself however. LOL
Not likely. Not that much RF would be radiated on 27 MHz from that little light show he has. MUCH more would be radiated from an antenna and likely even from a dummy load. He was radiating everything from DC to light however. LOL
regardless of their ability to take abuse like this, I feel sorry fro the guy paying money for that box... and sorry for his test equipment....

Exactly. Like i said above I wouldn't want to try this if I had to fork out the money for the units. If someone else was paying for them it might be a bit of entertainment for sure however. 
True but the design engineers that made the LDMOS chip did all the work for him. LOL
