The pic of the rear-panel 3.5 mm jack that was added has a pink wire that bonds the circuit-board ground to the chassis ground. Generally this is a no-no for radios like this built with a floating DC ground. And if it doesn't cause any mysterious "ground loop" noises, it won't be a problem. Only some of the modification wiring is visible, so not sure what that jack is about. The tiny circuit board with the transistor looks like a circuit to key a transmit relay.
