For KJ4FEL, KDØNSC and others who might not be familiar with it, the "Character Map" is a very helpful Windows feature.  At least in XP, click


START > PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > SYSTEM TOOLS and finally CHARACTER MAP.


For the more common ones, there's an Alt+ code, four digits that have to be entered with the keypad numbers.


If you're writing in Spanish, you can get the little tilde over the "n": ñ by using Alt+0241.  You can pick the font that works best, getting Russian, Greek, Hebrew -- most languages, in fact.  Have fun!


Oh - and for the less-common ones, like the backwards R in "Toys Я Us", you have to copy and paste.
