Can these Dosy meters be used in HF bands and whats the limit I have the TC-4002-PSW and a TFC-3001 with the built in frequency counter and was wondering if these could be used for the other HF bands I have amatuer meters inline but am considering another shack build in my outside building its actually a little house type cottage building. Anyways I am not sure what the Dosy is capable of or its true limits and was curious in anyone out here has tried this Hf band experiment with these . Thanks......Tony

Thats the problem I had there are no specs on frequency listed I remember at onetime my 4002 was hooked up and I used it on 75 meters and that it seemed to reed correctly power wise but got scared because I realized that I didnt know forsure what its capabilities was and I didnt want to ruin it.

I also when tuning and Aligning another HF rig put the 3001 inline and the frequecy counter went down to where the service manual suggested to set the VFO for allignment SWR was good so this is where a I was confused because it seemed to be ok but I wanted to find out forsure or what other operators have tried.

HI
Most of the ones I have seen are from the 26-30 mhz freq. range. Mine is a TC-4002-PSW
and it is 26-30 mhz range So the paper work shows . Hope this helps

look at what type of directional coupler they use, if you find a torroidal ferrite coupler in there then it may work over a fairly wide range,
if it uses a copper bars / circuit board style coupler then its very like it wont read flat over a wide range of frequencies.

you could test it against a bird or similar using a hf only slug for power flateness across the band.

good luck
