the basics sound like they are removing the audio transformer and direct modulating the carrier in order to get a superwide audio bandwidth,

which if used for cb use would need external eq and limiting otherwise it sounds like crap,


there are plenty of people including myself that have done this on a cb and we have the voodoo audio crew on hf, but its not to cure folk of ailments,

the idea is to get AM broadcast audio bandwidth, the downside is you need a receiver with at least 7.5k audio bandwidth to hear it propperly and you are wide occupying more than one ch, it seems to be the latest craze,


thats clearly not what these guys are doing, maybe they are into a different kinda voodoo,

modding a radio only makes me feel better if it sounds better than a stock radio  :wink:
