Just wanted your opinions on either keeping my very nice 2950 and 2510 or sell them or trade them off for a Galaxy 95t, or 94hp or 98vhp? My current rigs are super nice. Thanks

Picked up the 2950 from a member on here, which is almost flawless, and picked up the 2510 from a guy at work that did not know how to use it. Speaker was bad, and had a bad audio cap, so I installed a new cap and everything works perfect. Well, except for I bypassed the int speaker and are using an ext speaker. They both look like new almost. And neither of them have been hacked up. Proper channel expanding, no holes drilled, echo boards, etc... I wondered how the 94hp compaired with the 2510 on receive, and transmit audio quality?

Why not step up to a real upgrade
Say a Icom 706 MKIIG
or Icom IC-718
Then both transmit and receive will improve lots

the 2510 and 2950 are not bad though
( on scale 1-10 i give them both a 3 to 4)

Just a thought

This is for a mobile app. When it comes time to hook the base back up, then its Kenwood only for me. Thanks for the input though.

buy what ever you want but keep the 2510. the galaxy radios are more trucker cb style and the 2510 is more hf style. ive had and got all kinds of radios and wont part with my 2510s or 2600s. you can still buy 2950s. the receive on the 2510s are nice and quite. and ill agree with kingcobra, get ya a 706mk2g. got one myself and love the thing.
