Anybody know who sells those 12g 3 pin power cords for cb radios? All the ones i have found have a fuse in the ground wire. I want one that only has the fuse in the pos lead not the ground. Would make my own but i cant find just the plugs.

I don't know when they started doing the fuse in both leads but that seems to be the norm now. The other problem is they tend to have the fuse close to the radio, presumably because they don't know where you'll be cutting it. Otherwise, the Workman 12ga cables seem pretty decent.

Might be the best option to buy one, and modify to suit. I've never seen the plugs either but would love to have a source.

I’ve bought, cut, and made too many to count.

Buying POWERPOLE tools & supply make it much easier.

Ex:

ANCOR 10/2 Duplex

Ring terminals at Batt end
Pos with crimpable ATC fuse holder (or Blue Sea)

P-poles at Radio end.

Cut a quality power cord (Wilson or Workman 3-pin) and fit cut end to P-poles to mate.

10’ length each of red/black
(Therefore a 20’ circuit: 12-15A @ 3% loss; adjust loss up for cuts, wire downsize, etc). See Marinco chart.

ANCOR 10/2 Duplex
ANCOR Flame resistant split loom.
ANCOR Heat Shrink
ANCOR Adhesive Ring terminals.

ANDERSON POWER POLES
30 & 45A

Crimp tool
Insertion tool

WAYTEK or WEST Marine for ANCOR & Blue Sea products

POWERWERX for the rest.

As an aside, what else needs 12V power? My Peterbilt runs off BATT power to a 4-way SOTABEAM distribution box to power radio, amp & speaker.

CB radios should come with a Power Pole connector in the back. I wonder if they make a panel mount Power Pole socket that could be put in a radio?

The first time I tried my Anyone 5555 on FM it popped the 4 amp fuse in the negative line. Had me scared for a minuet until I realized what happened. Haha!
Hahahaha, same thing happened to me working ssb with my 2950dx. I was like wtf, then figured it out. Lol. I guess i will just buy a few more of the workman 12g ones and remove the neg fuse o_O
