Hello every body
I have a question about the coax of wilson 5000 roof mount it is capable to endel 400w rms or 1k peek or I have to change for rg8 coax
thanck you(y)

has any one got any pics of a successful attempt at putting .405 coax on a wilson 5000/1000?

Really no need to use .405 because input more than 5 or 600 avg power will most likely start to burn any painted surface as the couplive capacity through the mag mount will no longer suffice.

i believe i recall Kale has mentioned folks using thousands of watts in his 10ks using mag mounts . i'm guessing they were 3 or 4 mag mounts though . anyhow , i think if someone runs more power than the coax on a 1000/5000 will handle that they should move on to a 10k (or their external coil antenna of choice) or 108 .. or at least something that doesn't have solder inside it .... and a hole mount .

It doesn't even take that much...before I knew better, I bubbled the paint on my pickup using a Wilson 5000 magmount and (what I suspect was) a 3-pill...if you are long winded, or have a conversation going for many miles, the heat builds.
