Woohoo! First Nor Am QSO

15 meters is cool i have made a few QSO's on 15 in my car parked on lunch. It seems to work like 10 meters but it is open more often.

Congratulations. I need your country in my log, been trying for a while. So I know how hard it was for you.

Yes, I hear Japanese stations all the time having QSO's with CONUS stations. Hard for me to hear the CONUS ones though. I just have a simple dipole maybe 50 feet above ground with the ends maybe 20 feet lower.

One time me and Vq9ET arranged a frequency through email and we did manage to complete the qso from the Chagos Islands.

17 is GREAT my favorite band, I do not play much on 15, dunno why just never have, but that is where the Japan stations like to rag chew.

20m has long been my favourite band but 15m is great too when it is open. 15m is good for me into Africa. I remember listening to 15m long before I had my ticket and there were a lot of missionaries in Africa that used 15m to keep in contact back home. 17m is a nice band too.
