That doesn't take away from the contact at all. Granted it may be quieter on 15 then on 11. I'd bet not many qrp operators who run just 31/2 watts make contacts to Japan that often, if ever. I've tryed making dx contacts with my madison running a stock 12/15 watts with no luck.. My 13' off the ground A 99 isn't happy without 2-600 wiskys. I've tried several times with excellent conditions but until I hit the standby switch to operate the amp, no dice. I recall my very first questions about installing my a 99 only 13' off the ground and some answers were it won't work. Other's answered go for it and see what happens. I did just that and have been making contacts all over the world. I've also made many friends. My very first antenna was an 11 meter wire dipole I purchased off an eBay seller that makes individual d ipoles for 10-160. As per members advice I installed it inverted V and although I could only get the feed point about 20' off the ground it worked good with a low swr. I changed to the a99 and noticed increased reception and contacts local and skip. I'm assuming by your stealthy quote you choose for whatever reason to keep the existence of your station on the down low. I'm also assuming you won't be building many more antennas. I'm sure you can find a better use for
$250. Unless you plan on building many antennas skip the analize .
