My friends FT- 757 can be on all day and when he finally sits down and starts transmitting it will drift off and he will have to turn the vfo from example 27.4350 to 27.4348 and it will then stay on freq unless you walk away for a half hour you get on it again and have to put it back on 27.4350 until it warms up then again there ya go drifting and it has to be set at 27.4348 again. He said as long as you stay on it its fine > I think thats crazy my 757 i just sold didnt do that once it was on it was good as a matter of fact even cold it was on freq. Is there an adjustment for this??? Thanks people......Tony......

Drifter FT-757 GX

Hola TonyV225:
I own a FT-757GX not the GXII,the main diference is the band switch from mechanical to digital updated on the GXII version.
Many of my friends ask me,wich model I own, acording to their past experiences with this models,95% of then point, that the GXII will drift, the older GX is more stable, very little or non drift.
Maybe I or they are wrong but, that's what the majority said to me.

The way I reset mine is turn off the radio, press the 2 buttons in the back mentioned and then push them back out before power is turned back on. This is according to my manual.

make sure the fan is working as it should and is not gummed up with fluff and grease on the impeller.
