I know that they are not a fine lab instrument... but considering that my work is pretty much "hobby level on steroids" I believe it will do fine. I actually have an old 500 MHz Hameg 5006 (w/tracking generator) on the bench. IT is plenty fast as far as scanning. It is just so old that it does not have direct readings on the screen for frequency or signal level. I will continue to use that one for plain old "sloppy work".

I wanted to get the "Tiny" to give me something that I can use when I actually need more accuracy. I also intend to use it to get an outside opinion on the settings on the RF generators. I don't have either the money or the "justification" to spend what it takes to get things "lab calibrated" but I think that using this thing will help me get close enough.

Ordered the SA, a DC block, and a couple of SMA-M to BNC-F adapters (already have UHF adapters).

So now, off to get a blanket and thermos of coffee... and go sit on the front porch for as many days as shipping takes!!!!!!!! ;) ;)

Congrats, got my NANO VNA H4 yesterday, 4 inch screen easier on my eyes.
Got the N and PL 239 adapters as well, so checked out my antenna farm, lots of fun.
Versatile instrument more then accurate enough for us as Ham.
Hope you have a lot of fun with it.

Yes sir. I got one of those a couple of months ago. While I DID get it to serve my needs in antenna adjustment.... I thought that it MIGHT serve as a spectrum analyzer at LEAST in looking for harmonics.

THEN I found the video on YT from IMSAIMAN about using a NanoVNA for a spectrum analyzer... and learned that due to some filtering difference internally... you would get "double peaks". You would get the one you are looking for.....BUT... you would get another one not too far away from the one you want. This makes it unreliable for using to troubleshoot/service radios as you can't trust what you are seeing.

So...... "down go the dollars"....... and I will have both in my arsenal.

And as you say.... with my use being just for hobby/home bench use.... they are plenty good enough. Most certainly better than having nothing at all.

I hope you are enjoying yours too.....

Already checked antenna's here, made 6 different band edge test i prefer and put them in the memory.
Ran test on my coaxial cables see what length and losses were.
Just in one day LOL.
