I agree, they have a high failure rate. Worse then the galaxy 949/959's but, I don't personally care for any of the three from the repair bench side of it.

Huh i haven't had any problems with my 959? I have heard of the frequency counters going bad but that's it, What have you seen?
I had a Cobra 200 I thought it is a decent radio... there's not too many mods for it, I think its a little nicer on appearance than the Galaxy's. If you get all the factory updated on the Cobra 200 and leave it stock you should be fine!
