Rolling Radios


He's done some work on a dx 949 that had been hacked up. Works good, good reports afterwards. Just wish he could fix the ssb drift when its cold.

SSB drift in many radio's is just the way it is when you consider the price. The best drift free cb radio's were built years ago by Uniden. Radio's like the Cobra 2000, Uniden Madison, Washington, Grant xl/Lt, and old Cobra 148 radio's just to name afew.

As far as Rolling Radio's, he has some very loyal followers and as I remember he is very helpful to all his customers. There are also some that claim he is a fake. I do know he does ship complex repairs and alignments out to a shop in Indiana. I have seen the boxes first hand.

i bought an rci 2950 dx from him several years ago. I still have and use this radio. i got it promptly and tuned exactly as i asked him to do.

i get excellent results from this radio on the ham bands, last week talking to california ham he could not believe what i was using (2950dx, properly tuned and a mag mount wilson 5k) yes conditions help alot with the solar cycle as it is, but rolling did a great job on the tune.

his customer service was great, answered every question and is still answering questions from me on anything i need.

I would buy from him again.

Yes the Grant XL is solid. I have one just sent to me from a friend in PA. Banged up but its a soldi talker on SSB. Thats a true keeper.
 
Generally speaking I've heard he doesn't hack up radios and has some happy customers - of course there is always an exception to the rule :)

The guy is right about him not clipping stuff and then turning the AMC to max - heard from a couple of people that he tuned their radio like that, but on the other side that is how most people tune their export radios :)

I've dealt with him and he always shipped what he said he was going to send so no problems in that respect.
