He's has the first one pill 959. Hmmmmm!

FGBest was building 2290/2879 radios ten years ago, Ripple 7 like`s to pimp it off like he has the only radio ever built that way......Bill and Justin used to build them from scratch....no prefab aftermarket boards.

Actually,I am looking for some risers to extend my SS 102" whip ground plane on my A99 antenna to just over 1/4 wave length. That's when I stumbled upon all this info about the one pill 959.
I'm pretty new on the scene as far as who done what first. Triple 7 is the first I found about this. Thanks for your imput.
Who's Bill and Justin?
Looks like he's promoting it for Custom CB Radios as well as Gunny Pucks.

Bill Good ( RIP ) And Justin both worked at FG Best in So Cal. Bill Good was one of the best radio techs around and responsible for many up-grades to the Ranger Radios and played a role in the development of the 29xx DX radios.
We all wish Jim Peng`s so called engineers would have implemented all of Bills Ideas.

777 ......like a parrot, he repeats everything told him by snake oil salesmen.
He is now famous for his "20% audio gain" claim to fame that Kale fed him.
( a 1/4 wave whip that had 9DDb ( dream decibels) gain over a wet broom handle or something)
I am still waiting for the FCC/Gubberment guy with the test equipment that was going to prove we were all wrong.
He does get the award for the most stickers I ever seen on a truck...he should sell advertising space on it.

Okay then. Did Bill leave any publication articles behind? Okay. The one pill 959 that the cb repair guy at custom is marketing sounds nice. A loud radio mated with some juice. Also,I don't much cater to the idea if paying that much for a Gunny riser. Happy New Year!

Doug at custom cb radios I believe was one of sparkys cb's techs, he is a Good tech from the work I have seen, my brother in law has a 959 from him and it is a nice radio for what they are. If I were going to get a radio from him and this was told to me by him, to get the stryker 955hp. It's a great radio per his review of it as well. It will do 100 watts as well. If you are wanting to buy it for pure pleasure, then go for it, doug is a good tech and knows what he is doing. JMO. God bless and Happy New Year. 73's.
