I Hate This New Site!!!

No; a 24 in monitor MOF. Have changed NO settings when this site arrived, and the resolution is poor. So, it is the new software. The old site used the same settings I am using now.

Maximizing phone performance in deference to PC users is only one point. The overall layout and background really bites if one is a PC only user. Aren't there enough PC only users to be considered any more? Quite sure that isn't so. I remember a few years ago, you changed the forum to a newer vBulletin software, and it had issues that made it unusable as I recall. But the lack of settings in the new software has made it impossible to bring some semblance of the previous software back. Is that where this is all going?

Honestly Robb, I'm not seeing any of the issues you're referring to here. I'm not trying to detune the PC performance in favor of mobile at all. Like I said, I'm testing this on Windows, Mac, Android Tablet, iPad, iPhone, Surface...pretty much anything I can get my hands on.

Take a print screen of what the site looks like to you and post it.

Well one this is 100% sure and that is with ANY change you will NEVER please all the people and some will complain simply about things changing. A few have said it is slower however I have not seen anything run slower.I have a very basic ADSL line with two teenaged gamer bandwidth hogs upstairs. As for layout, well the reply/post field is basically the same and sure some things require you to have a second look but so does buying a new car. Things are different and not necessarily any worse.....just different. Most things will become familiar with a bit of use. I personally did not care for it that much but after making a bunch of posts and seeing how things work I don't mind it at all. One thing I really do like is that when you click on a thread it automatically takes you to the last post read and not the top of the first page. Some things are still being peaked and adjusted as it is impossible to jump into this degree of change and have everything perfect.I think that after people become more used to the new site they will come to realize it has more benefits than pitfalls.

It's just not worth the effort. I used to check in several times a day with Tapatalk.

I don't dislike the new site but the layout bugs me. I will continue to lean its functions but I think my time here is running out. I commend all who worked hard to make this site what it is and those that worked hard to make the changes. Change is never easy nor will everyone like it.. good job guys....73

Looking for another forum.

Well I just spent some time on this site on my phone until the battery died. I forgot to plug it in last night. Not using tapatalk but just my browser. When I click on anything it takes 2-3 seconds to completely load and I use a crappy ADSL line on my laptop and the regular 3G cellular service on my phone. If that is slow then some people have unrealistic expectations. As for the errors ???? what errors are they?? The fact that some have no issues at all means the site is fine,if it wasn't then everybody would be affected. There has to be a comparability issue somewhere with settings or ISP or something. The fact that it worked before does not mean a lot as this a different forum platform with different functions and settings on a different server.

Hmmmmm.......interesting. I made some changes on my end and it does in fact seem slower. More investigations needed.
