4 driver tubes are 6jt6a. 4 finals are 6lq6/ 6je6a or 6mj6 (heavy duty 6lq6). 6jr6, 6jg6a tubes will also work as drivers, but thier filament current is a little higher. HIGH VOLTAGE IS LETHAL! discharge large capacitors to ground with a chicken stick as stated in other post.

i use yellow wax carpenter pencil on my 2510 makes them easy to see and you can wipr it off and reapply when it gets dirty. hope you enjoy the rig, i love mine. soretooth

hi wavrider, i found the ferrite tuning slug split in half and a bad solder connection on board for windings.fixed all that with parts from my junk box. broke out grid dip meter and found amp modified for 11 meter. tuned it as such and i am going to let it go. 3 watts input, 80 watt dead key...

bad 25k 15 watt resistor open in the line voltage / driver power supply board. had a 30k and a 20k wirewound in junk box. went with the 30k for over kill.works great had to retune input very little. changed 2 47pf mica caps and 1 27 pf mica cap 5% + or -. put 1 50 pf and 1 47pf, and 1 33pf...

it has a slug tuned input coil, i'll check the vswr. most golden screwdriver operators don't mess with them as they don't know the function,but it's possible. bias resistors are 49 ohm 5 watt and i replaced them when i recapped the amp just for gp. the part of the schematic that is missing is...
