FT857D display problem

Has anyone lost the mode identification message on the display? The mode buttons work and the mode changes, but I get no mode display. I can't find any reference to this in the menu. I am in the process of installing a screwdriver antenna. The display message was there before I started this...

This forum does not allow a single user to have more than one username. If anyone wants to change their username contact an admin and it will be done. Multiple accounts belonging to the same member will be deleted without warning.
