Call channel button tone?

My HT has a Call button that can be programmed for a single freq/chan. anyways stock when pressed keys the HT with a loud beep sound what is this for? yes yes RTFM was read through on pdf + search:mellow:

Could be the 1750Hz audio toneburst used to access UK repeaters.
