Fixing dx45mp

got one from a friend,radio had no TX and good RX.

regulator was blown.replaced that and the smaller one next to it.





radio has very little forward swing on bird43.

modulation seems about 50% even with limiter disabled.



when i got this radio it had a small glass diode going from the

center tab of the regulator to a trace nearby and below.



it didnt look like a factory part the way it was sticking up.



that part got removed. was it supposed to be there?

the other one i owned did not have a diode on that

spot.



any ideas what could be wrong with this radio?

I think the problem is not with this radio, but with the radio's owner. The radio does not want to go back to it's owner, so it is acting sick so you will keep it.



Send it to a tech.
