My trustworthy 101 has developed an issue,One of the tubes turns cherry red even in the rx mode,The other looks normal?Shorted tube or?Thanks
 

I guess it is final tube you are saying turns cherry red?

Look for the negative bias or component failure on the grid or screen circuits.
