Anybody else having troubles updating there new radio to the 1.4. Version? Just received my radio Thursday and have been trying to update. Following all formatting instructions on two new SD cards, and watching the YouTube videos, my radio keeps displaying “ no file “ on the screen, when I go to instal. Three family members have downloaded from the Icom America website, onto the sd cards with the same results?
Thanks

I had no problems. The issue I believe is where the quote “update” file is located. It needs to be placed in the folder your IC 7300 creates otherwise you get the message “NO FILE.”

You’re missing the step where you put a cleanly formatted SD card into the IC-7300 and save you settings first because the update will overwrite any existing settings. Then you place the update file into the folder the IC-7300 placed your saved settings into. Then follow the regular steps and you’ll be good to go sir.

Okay here are two pictures. One shows the content of my SD card. The second picture shows that I placed the update file into the IC-7300 file folder.

yea, i missed that step too then my son showed me how it is done lol. How do you guys like the 7300? I love mine...
Always get great audio reports, heard a a lot of operators on the 7300 and all had very good audio and all on the stock mic. I can’t believe how good the stock mic works.

Everyone has said mine sounds really good also.
I just need the time to really get to know the radio and all of it’s features.
This is my first real ham radio besides 10 meter mobiles. So I don’t have anything to compare too.
