Iknow this may sound stupid to some of you but im new to the world of CB's and on my rig theres a switch named.DX-LOC. iwas told its the same as RF GAIN.............. can someone plz explain what rf gain or this switch does ....many thanks CHRIS.

Rf gain....Increases or decreases the receive performance.In other words..if you turn the rf gain clock wise the receive will be its strongest,counter clock wise it will be its weakest.Rather than useing the squelch i turn the rf gain back just enough to hear a little static.That way i can still hear most of the weaker signals but if i use the squelch most of them will not be heard.

since yours is a switch, the loc position is like putting the ear plugs on.
