I was just wondering WHEN he will bring up the Protocols of the
Learned Elders of Zion (the correct name) which has been proven to be a phony book that came about in the last part of the 19th century. This was used as "truth" to promote anti-semitism right up thru the Holocaust. And, YES! There WAS a Holocaust brought about by National Socialism (Nazi) Germany.
Much of the same old, tired ideas about "Das Jude" came from this piece of crap. And CRAP it IS!!
How do *I* know there was a Holocaust?? BECAUSE an uncle served with General Patton and was one of the first US soldiers
to come upon the spectacle. They didn't KNOW what the hell was going on, but were horrified to see these bodies piled up like cordwood out in the yard. He took PICTURES of his OWN because he had never, ever thought such a thing could happen; a spectacle beyond human comprehension. The word "Holocaust" hadn't been applied to these events because the totality of the horror had not yet been known. He had no reason to "cover up" anything. I SAW these pictures. My uncle was not the only one to take their own photos and bring them home. He was just in TWO camps and didn't even KNOW about the others and had no reason to hide anything. If anything, he and the other soldiers almost had to be restrained from killing the remaining German guards that had quickly been rounded up after fleeing the camp(s). When I saw these pictures he showed me as a young boy, I could not comprehend WHY someone would do such a thing? WHY the hate against people that looked just like ME? I couldn't understand this. Could this happen to me, too? I couldn't understand MURDER against anybody, but why people who were called "Jews"? Hell, I couldn't tell a Jew from a Baptist and still can't. I don't CARE!
My boss at work was Jewish, and I never KNEW it for 10 years.
NOTHING about this man made him any different from any other person at work. But over and over and over and over again, this same racial hatred is spewed out against one race or the other and "truth "is used to justify the paranoia. Trouble is, WHOSE "truth" is it?
Nonetheless, I SAW the photos that my own uncle brought home before I ever HEARD or saw the word
"Holocaust" applied to this event. In spite of the paranoid, hateful, racial division and conspiracy-ridden diatribe spewn by
questionably sane and wild-eyed fear-mongers , I will continue to live my life, believe the things I believe. vote my convictions, even fight for what I believe until God takes me from this earth. Like a previous post, I have had a great life, the like of which Mr Bubblepuppy, nor me, will ever see again.
Those are wonderful days that I have lived in a country free from fear, spared by a merciful God (thus far), that no SOB can take away from me. They were gifts endowed by an accident of birth because my forefathers came here in the 1690's speaking with a 'rahthuh" British accent (Northumberland County). These same people fought in the Battle of Cowpens, SC, and Kings Mountain, NC in 1780 and in the Civil War for what they believed in. I believe I inherited some of that same will and determination to stand up for what I believe. Those insulting names, to me, are insignificant:evil: !
Now you may be as paranoid, fearful,
and hateful as you wish, but I choose NOT to be that way and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it unless you can whup my 235 lb (hey! I lost a couple pounds
) keister. I am going to ENJOY the days I have left on this earth, for I neither anticipate nor fear death. Remember: it is easy to call someone a "fool" from behind a keyboard, quite another thing to apply undeserved names to one's face--it's called "keyboard courage"!
And when I leave this mortal coil and am, perhaps, remembered with a name on a plaque in the graveyard, I want only to be recalled simply.
His beliefs were firm and his name was............................
An American. :!:
