Been talked about before. Very handy little testers and surprisingly cheap for what they do. Last one got hit by lightning about 6 months ago. Got around to replacing it. Best price was $39 shipped on ebay.
NO - New ones do not come with any kind of instruction sheet - nothing.
Found out that they will work with 9 volt input just as well as 12 or 13.8.
This makes them useful in testing 9 volt based noise toys as well as the 12V ones. And therefore learning if an individual made-for-12v noise toy (ordinarily to be installed inside a radio) would function okay if put inside a 9V based desk mic as well.
