This 101B almost got tossed out in the trash last week. My friend called and asked me if I wanted it. His father recently passed. Don't know much about it. I have a lot of CB radio experience. Going to clean this thing up and fire it up soon.

Pro tip:

Pull every plug-in circuit board and scrub the edge-finger contact surfaces with a paper towel and either denatured or 99% isopropyl alcohol. When the paper comes away with no gray smear, move on to the next plug-in board.

Wrap a couple of layers of typing paper around the board edge fingers, dampen with solvent and plug in/unplug a couple of times.

When the paper comes out with little or no gray shadows , move on to the next socket.

Never, NEVER ever use an abrasive of any kind, either on the plug-in boards' contact fingers, or the socket contacts, or any other relay or switch contact in that radio. Solvent or solvent/cleaner only.
