I have a NOS Shure 577C that I am trying to wire for a 4 pin Cobra/Galaxy and have ran out of hair to pull out. So far the closest I have gotten is the following:
1-black, 2-green and black, 3-white, 4-red. This will key the radio but there is no audio.
1-black, 2-green, 3-white and black...
Nomad, here is the Specs that were in the box with the J450C. They did make two versions, one for relay switching and one for electronic. Like all Turner mics the added J meant electronic.
It sounds fine to me on my monitor, will using it damage the radio?
I recently picked up two NOS Turner mics that look very similar on the outside but are different inside. These things are built like tanks. I have re-wired both to 4 pin Cobra/Galaxy and they sound good to me on the air. The LMM Landcom mics were originally made as direct replacements for...

I have several Turner hand mics and want to put new cords on them and wire them to work with the newer radios. When taken apart, there is all sorts of variations on how they are currently wired. Can anyone please tell me if the mic wiring labeled in the photo looks right? That is the old cord...

I had a pickup that I could never tune with the Wilson 1000 and 62” whip. Finally bought the 66” whip and was able to dial it right in. This was mounted on the roof but closer to the back. The ribs in the roof prevented placing it in the center. But that is the only time I ever needed the longer...
