On my Daiwa CN-901 true pep meter, my previously owned Quad 6 was doing 60 watts dead on the money on AM and SSB. My Quad 6 never did have the lid removed...factory stock.
Not doubting it's doing 40 watts...just saying it needs to be measured with a true pep meter. On a Dosy, I would not...
Know exactly what you mean. The Lincoln 2+ microphone did the same thing.
If they could vent the microphone, kind of like how Heil does the HMM hand microphone would help I think.
I have bought from BuyAntenna.com twice, and they have delivered every time in about a week from west coast to east coast. The thing is though they never sent me tracking, and they never have answered not one email.
BuyAntenna.com is one of many DNJ businesses.
359 Pound Sterling for the Washington.(n) That's $456.11 dollars. Won't be buying the Washington for sure not at that price. Hopefully, the 6666 Pro will be a good bit cheaper.
Glad you got it working. Wish I could find a new old stock. I would install it right now.

Yes there is a video on YouTube that shows how they were put together wrong from the factory. I knew I assembled mine proper. Thought about buying another one, but taking it all apart, cutting slots, and paying a premium for an antenna that might work if I fix it is not worth my...
He hangs on 28 or the Super Bowl channel 6. He over does it with the bass some times. Otherwise, he is always on top of the pile, and sounds good here in Western NC.
On the Anytone.net website, it says the AT-6666 Pro will be launched in market in July.

Hopefully, it's not over priced because then I will be out.
Saw in the menu it had NPC and 3K/4K. 105 watts SSB. I hope it has better heat management than the original. I would have to turn a fan on the heatsink during AM round tables. Was using mine as a base radio.
