After the freaky wind storm we had I finally bought a generator, 5 days into being without power, and yes it came back on before I got home that day.

Forget extra channel mod's, disabling the beep would be the first one I'd love for someone to figure out. Great radio so far, but it doesn't take long for that beep to get to you. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so loud.
