I was wondering what radio actually lets you talk through bluetooth over the air and happened on this. Looks like Roadking is coming out with one. AM only (n)
I dont think it has anything to do with real radio. It's like Zello but you get to pay $140 for a fake microphone so you can LARP as a cb user. And can only talk to others who did the same.
Cobra's iRadar thing downloads road data to your real Cobra CB and it alerts you through the radio. But...
Big mag mounts are going to cause damage sooner or later. Might as well just drill a hole (y)
And if you go to sell the car later just pop a rubber plug in. On a truck roof no one would ever notice or care.
All fine if your just talking simplex to like model radios that are all NB.
I could see it being annoying in a mixed fleet or if your trying to use repeaters.
The MicroMobile looks cool
It's just a bummer they would put out a gimped radio.
Hopefully it is $35 for each application.
Supposedly there are guys who collect 1x3,2x1,1x2 etc calls and just juggle them around in the system so they never get put back in the pool. This would at least make this crappy behavior cost something.
Normally zero beating is useful if you had a known standard you could calibrate to like WWV on 5,10,15mhz. But you can't get there with a CB. If you wanted to zero beat the radio to another radio you could try doing it this way.
Put you "reference" radio in AM and make it dead key with no...
At 6 digit you start getting down the road that will start to make you question your counter. You may find with SSB that your radio reads 27.3850 but everyone sounds good when you go to 27.3852... Are they off? Is my counter off? Na it MUST be them! Just ask anyone when someone makes...
No I haven’t had a need yet. I did some A/B testing and didn't see any difference in the noise floor. I just got it because I like to have these types of things on hand incase the need comes up. This will be the ticket if I get back in to HF. I can leave a dedicated 11m rig setup with it's own...

"Radio tunes at 1 KHz and 5 KHz steps; if one tunes quickly, the steps are 10 KHz, and 100 KHz. FM also has 2 tuning rates. One can also advance upward or downward 1 entire band at a time on sw. The radio does not retain last tuned frequency in...
Proprietary.. ya schematics for an AM only radio are high value things like a missile guidance schematic or the recipe to Bushes baked beans.
President put out service manuals and schematics for their up the food chain Lincoln2+ and McKinley. We don't see knockoffs being sold anywhere now do we?
Florida sounding local tonight on AM and 38lsb. Weird because the band was dead most of the day and then 2 hours out after dark there they are.
I think the locals here are starting to realize it makes more sense to move to 39/40 rather then keep spitting in to the wind trying to rag chew over...
Ya I think it will work fine. As long as you get a good solid RF connection to the frame. Like a mirror mount bolted right to the side of the frame-rail. The 'glass body is going to be mostly invisible to the antenna.
I am not an export but I have found 108" whips to be every forgiving to less...
