I have read about dipole antennas for 11 meter and I want to put up a horizontal dipole and someone posted about a 1/4 wave being the best for DX. I don't understand the difference between 1/4 and 1/2 wave as far as the length of the wire or tubing used . Could someone shed some light on this...

Can anyone give me some info on how to access the FM band when it's in CB mode. it's very confusing and I don't want to get the frequencies all messed up for AM and SSB. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

What do the letters "A thru J" do when I am on CB mode ? It doesn't explain that in the owners manual or I haven't found it yet. I just got this radio and it's a learning process.

I have had it hooked to a power supply and it powers up and all channels and lights work but I don't have an antenna yet. I've been busy with a honey-do-list. I'm taking it to a guy I contacted in Warren Ohio that works on them to have it checked.I will tell the rest of the story when I pick...

It does have an on/off click just like a volume control. I guess I'll find out when I get it powered up.

I did have it open and it's just a pot. I didn't look how it was wired.
