Like I mentioned a few postings ago. Someone years ago before me has been in this power supply. On TR302 the collector pad has been lifted. The other two pads are not too long for this world.

There is a sentence I do not understand. If I do not put voltage to the green wire. I will not get voltage to TR302. Also I really do not want to remove TR302 and risk messing up the pads.

OK This radio is making me crazy. Yesterday I did remove TR401 and TR302. So there was a typo. So looking back. I corrected my errors. I disconnected TR401 I removed TR302. I hooked 13.8V to green wire that would have went to the emitter of TR401. Radio powered up. D302 WAS SHOWING .5V Anode...

OMG I am getting brain dead. No I removed TR302 we have talked about that transistor so much I just removed it. Oh boy. I may go back to this tomorrow when I am fresh. I am putting a new TR301 in this time. Also when I was looking threw old parts I saw the last hack that worked on this radio had...

    Another 139XLR power supply problem.

I disconnected TR401 I removed TR301. I hooked 13.8V to green wire that would have went to the emitter of TR401. Radio powered up. D302 WAS SHOWING .5VA AND 6VC. Pads of TR302 6VC, E.2V B0. I Thought RT301 will adjust base voltage of TR302. I can not get more than 6 now. I am doing this without...

Before I totally say I can not do it those will be my next steps. I have been suspecting TR401 but this will tell for sure.

    Another 139XLR power supply problem.

Well I just had a brain storm. I was wondering ,,if that was working when I got it. And not working after a rebuild. Was it only working because it had a bad part. I saw in one of the pictures D301 was corroded. And it tested good. D302 was the other diode. It was blown showed continuity both...

    Another 139XLR power supply problem.

Bun no matter how much I adjust RT301 I can not get the voltage on D302 below 23 volts and that is with RT301 all the way one way. And any where else 24V. EDIT EDIT>> I am hoping I caught this in time. I looked at the schematic again RT301 Will adjust base voltage of R302. By my schematic the...

    Another 139XLR power supply problem.

We have hours and hours and hours. Trying to get this working. So with D302 removed I figure I will put my volt meter on cathoid pad of D302 and adjust RT301 and see if the voltage changes. By the way all 3 legs of RT301 have continuity to the catholic which does not seem right? I plug the radio...
