Dont know about in the US. Here there are more 24v trucks on the road than 12v these days.!
You would have to see what the RF devices in the amp are!
My guess is they are 24v devices and they would have to be replaced in order to convert it to 12v. It's most likely not cost effective to do...
Absolutely no argument from me CK.
Just thought I would put it in (after taking the time to load the program) But if the yagi is down and the boom already lengthened those dimensions will work
Spongbob if you have already lengthened the boom. my suggestion is to just increase existing spacings
These work.
ref 0
drv 91 inch
dir1 136.5
dir2 184
dir3 273...
Well size does matter. 16ft to 20ft is a bigger increase than 36 to 40. But like you said you wont notice it without direct comparison. Owa designs are more forgiving ,as are designs that use wide regular spacing.
Cb beams tend to be notoriously short for the no of elements. Even the 40ft Maco...
Did a quick run up of the figures. if you add 10% to the existing spacings you will get an increase in signal of 0.2 of a db and an improvement of 5db in the front to back.with little change to the match .A bit of optimizing you might get a little more. Like I said in the first post 3/5th of...
OK I dont think you understand how complex an issue this is . Get it right and you might get 1/2 db improvement. but get it wrong and you could see 3db decrease or more.
You just cant add length some place and expect it to work Element length and spacing's are all interrelated and critical...
More information is required!
What are you trying to achieve, more gain? more bandwidth? better front to back? Are you wanting to make a m108 out of a m107?
That small increase in length would make 3/5th of bugger all difference in gain. Rule of thumb is double the boom length for 3db.You...
Did it myself.! 5 mins with a volt meter to find it. hardest part was to remove the old lead free solder. I first tried to reflow the joint but it didn't work. So i then removed old solder with desolder braid and redid the joint with standard 60/ 40 solder.
For the heat sink I fitted an old...
Had the same problem. .Cause is usually bad solder joint at the voltage regulator ( to220 mounted at the left side ) or blown reg , they run real hot and it's lead free solder.. Check you have volts at the finals and the reg is working. Min was a easy fix cleaned off the solder and reflowed...
How are you reading the frequency?
Excuse me for asking but you do know USB is not on 27.375 ? You have to allow for the offset if using a frequency counter !Sorry if i am stating the obvious but a lot of new guys get it wrong. And it does fit the symptoms you describe, if the clarifier range...
