here is a link to the uniden XL site for the channel mods. not sure if this is the one to give more channels or not. you can check it out. been too long since I did the mod to get 27.415 to 27.465 out of the 8719 PLL. remember you will also need a 4th switch for the 10kc jump to get the alpha...
some one here at one time had the channel mods to take you below the traditional 8719 mods and I think it was unit_399. if it is him maybe he will chime in here. I have it saved to a disk some where but finding it would be next to impossible right now.
the mod I saw would give you 27.415 to 2745...
Don and Gary that were at capital electronics now have Tram Browning antennas in Edmond , Okla.
I forget who is the actual owner . think it is Gary. not real sure. my buddy at the shop knows them very well. they use to use him when they 1st got started to try out their supplies and what had to...
gate voltage shows typ 2.5 and max 4.0 which does not look bad but the size shows it to be a T0 247. a little large for a final for most radios unless I am missing some thing in looking at the spec sheet.
that was what I was thinking when I saw the address you posted. I did a lot of dealing with Capital electronics in the 70's and 80's buying radios from them. bought from a few other wholesalers but capital was the ones I bought the most from. a very close friend has retired , or at least...
RVAlleman that address sounds like it was in Oklahoma City. I remember there being a couple places up in that area in the 70's and 90's. is that where you were at.
whoever made the echo is saying to contact them if you have the problem mentioned. have you contacted the manufacturer as they say to do?
(If you intend to use an RK56 or an Astatic 636 noise canceling mic we must be informed. More than likely the mic amp circuit of the radio will have to be...
Kaos the protection diode is a 1n4003 and if it is still in line will read other components that are in line with it. it does not effect the modulation if that is the protect diode which I am taking it that is what it is since Nomad said it was. did not check the schematic. but that will not do...
Kopcicle that is the link to the schematics and other radio items such as service manuals. the actual forum is down and a lot of stuff has been lost since that portion is down.
the portion down is like this forum where you can talk to each other. the cbtricks talk forum is down with all the...
by just looking at what is in the dual final and then see what you need to put in the single board is very easy. that was the way I did my TR696f radio. just make sure you do not miss a jumper that most radios need to complete the circuit.
what board is in your radio? I found the mod for the 360014 board radios. it shows all the parts needed and the locations. could not find the 696010 board. .
if yours is the 360014 board send me your email in a PM and I will send it to you.. this lay out will help you see what is needed for any...
what I did to put dual finals in mine was looked at a dual final radio with the same board in it and changed all the parts to match the dual final radio and added what was left out. it took a VR for bias adjustments and a jumper to complete the circuit plus what ever parts had been left out. I...
all of that info was on cbtricks and since the forum is down you can not pull it up. I did a texas ranger 696f a few years ago. maybe I can find the info for that. mine had the 69610 board in it. DTB radio may have posted it to his site. I will look through my files. I assume it is a bypolar...
the ebay sellers are jacking prices up on about every thing they are selling these days. seemed to start a year ago christmas and the prices have never came back down. a few sellers are still holding their prices down dsome but others are going crazy trying to get rich on just a few items. one...
depends on what amp you are going to be using. that is why you need to match the radio to the amp to get the best sound out of both. just as Nomad was stating you have to watch what cap you use and what dead key the amp wants to run at.
I will use from 47uf up to 220uf to see which one sounds...
the last 520 mosfets I bought were from mouser and they all have worked very well so far. I bought 50 at one time and got them for 43 cents each and only 6.00 to ship them. I know they have gone up a little since I bought mine the last time. but not much.
