rci i have a blackface receives well.My only issue is the annoying light fluctuations on transmit and the whole audio not peaking out on tx on lower frequencys on ssb.I just got a new anytone and it doesnt have these problems.The 2950 is a better built radio tho.

Got my new at5555 today and i must say its a great piece of gear.I paid 198 for it and 10 shipping on ebay brand new.I have the version 6 and its 30 watts sideband 40fm and 12 am.The receive is great and even nicer with the high cut filter.am mode it talks well the echo is great and the talkback...

I have read that you dont need the usb cable to open cb band u can do it via radio with v5 board firmware 6.Does this open the whole 27mhz?

thanks thanks 1 more ? the new models have a feature to program cb band to radio without connecting to pc something about 2.band option.Does that cover all 11 meters or only standard 40 channels like will it go up to 275550 or do i have to program with cable?

tuning i think its the antenna my 2950dx does this if i drop into the low 11 meters my radio meter dont swing much on ssb same as if i go to high into close to 28mhz.I think your swr is climbing in those ranges and the power is not getting out of the radio.

Ok so im buying a at5555 the dealer tells me its a v5 board but i need to download v6 software.I cant find any v6 software for the anytone only the ss6900.If its the ss6900 software which dat files do i use?Also i have been hearing issues with these radios being 100hz off.Is any of this true?

Radio Its still holding up well and its a great skip talker i talk around the world with just a antron 99 30 feet up barefoot and local get out 90 miles at night sideband and 35 to 40 miles am.It had issues but i had it setup by a tech.It needed the ssb power brought up a little and it fixed...

hooked up hooked up the new lmr400 damn rings on the antron moved but my swr on channel 1 is 1.3 channel 19 1.1 channel 40 1.2 and up to 5550 1.3 if i got below 279650 much the swr climbs to 1.5 and into 28mhz it hits 1.5 so i think my swr is good and no hum when i whistle into the mic only...

Maybe but i will find out tomorrow i will be replacing my coax with lmr400.The coax i had was like new only 2 months old shireen heavy duty but i think the storm got to it.
