I brought in my 980 and rm 203p in from the pickup and hooked up to a new Megawatt p/s. Have it running into an a99 for a temporary base. The amp works on am and ssb both regardless of which mode is selected. From my trusty MFJ 872 swr/watt meter, looks like 50 dead key on am and swinging 90...
I have to agree. I like being able to hear local signals out to 30 miles or so. Even just to test out my rigs, base to mobil or mobil to mobil. Not to say it isnt fun making the trip from PA to Okc.
Thats a good idea. But if its solar generated there may be many more than one CME. Best to wait a while before bringing out the equipment. And only if the generator fires up. Oh boy. What a mess. Hope we never see anything near it.

The reason i like it here is that i have no " young or old seasoned veterans " to try to gleem info from. It sure helps. Even when kopcicle goes into [dick mode] everyone has been pretty friendly.
