I picked up a teaberry big t to play with and would like to drop the dk from 4 watts to 2 watts. Does anyone know the pot number I am looking for to this.
Mine is set to 2watt dead key 35 peak. Did anyone else notice an increase in modulation when they reduced the output power. This radio has beautiful loud clear modulation. In fact I was told that in order to run a desk mic with it now "an M-2" that I should have the radio "modded" to decrease...
How many volts is "Safe" I am currently running it at 14.8 and dropping to 14 on key. I am definitely concerned about longevity given the scarcity of toshiba transistors.
I am running the Lincoln 2+ into it with a 2 watt dead key and about 35 watt pep. I have the variable on the the amp set to...
I had the low side turned down for a 2watt dk. It seems when the radio is turned down the modulation goes up. Local shop told me I need to have some mod done to the radio in order to run a decent amplified desk mic. Did you require any work to your radio in order to sound good. I have been...
It would be nice if they designed a nice desk mic that was basically the same as their stock mic but just as a desk mic. This is something that should be approached with a 3d printer.
The power cord is very short, I put it on a small surge strip with a power button.
I was hearing the noise in the monitor and had a few reports of it humming. I am switching things around tomorrow to see if I can isolate it.
I put the radio on the powerax and the amp on a homebrew supply and no noise at all. Next I am swapping them around to see if the noise comes back.
I have been delayed with other projects and am just getting back to this.
I purchased the pm3 100lk, it is great for the radio radio, but if I power the texas star dx500v it gives a lot of noise in transmit. I need to find a way to quiet it.
This made me pull out what I once called Frankenstein. 2 -100 amp supplies I had combined with an aluminum heat sync holding 2 MBR 60/100 semiconductors. It was not pretty but it functioned. Had a smaller 12 volt converter on it to power the fans, and a lot of hot glue.
