It currently is keying 4 watts and going to about 7. I was curious if the modulation can be increased easily. I was told once that there is a way to increase modulation % on this radio. I have a Hy Gain VII model 3107 I would like to turn up a little bit. Sadly I do not have any info for the radio. Can anyone help with this?

It is far from dead currently, skip rolled in at the beginning of summer and hasn't left.

I have the same dave made original 1x4 in my truck and I am getting 750 to 800 out of it depending on engine rpm and carrier between 4 and 7 watts.
