low cost NMO to 3/16" whip adapter

I need a antenna base that screws into an NMO mount that a small diameter whip or rod could go into with a setscrew for adjustment. Basically a simple, tunable antenna without the whip that can be made into anything for me to try out a couple of homebrew projects. Only thing is, it has to be...

    38LSB

I missed most of the fun, didnt get back from my job till 11 or so, almost ran out of fuel because all was closed and somehow ended up talking to a couple of local stations on AM with DX stations coming in and out every 10 or 15 minutes. Noise floor was near zero, except for traffic lights and...

Yeah me too . I know all a about inter mod and ordered harmonics and I could see crap like that coming out a jacked up radio from where filtering had maybe been clipped and 2 freq mixing in the amplifier to make a new freq but normally the cause would. Be bleed over wouldn't it?

TRC-465 channel kits, whats on the market?

So how do these different options work. The lescomm looks like it replaces the PLL, the expo 100 from what I gather is a crystal oscillator that injects a new mixing signal into the VCO, but the N-KIT, how does it work?

TRC-465 channel kits, whats on the market?

I am looking for a kit to put uppers in my 465. Could care less for lower channels, although having 10khz would be nice but not absolutely necessary. I found lescom makes a kit Lester's Custom Truck Shop - LesComm Products but its kind of expensive and more than I would need, and I like to...

New Sears Slant Face Radio $30?

Turning up ALC made a big difference, but then it wasnt peaking at 12 watts per FCC either. Was common for manufactures to set their radios below FCC limits to cover their ass back then. I came up with a quick and easy way to align TX without a counter, however it requires another radio...

Looking at a new Radio for the shack.

Yes, when I turn my ratshack 465 on, I do have to key up immediately. That freq counter is also for TX, if you had the sixth digit it would constantly jump around, maybe not as bad as the old galaxies, but man its pretty bad when 20+ year old radios have better stability. If you could find one...
