These people had to know the risks of living there. How can you not know. Evidently there is alot of people lived with their heads in the sand. Why would they continue to act like nothing could ever happen to them. And then blame someone else for the outcome of the event when it happens!!

It cost less than a dollar for the parts. and enjoyed doing it. I got all the drivers out here wanting to get channel mods for their own radios so they can go up to the channels I hang out on..
I did another mod. It gives +/- 6 khz with the knob centered at 1200.
Jump r175
remove r100
jump d51
remove r139
remove r44
disconnect clarifier lead and connect topin 3 of ic4 (8.2 volts)
replace r174 with 3k3
run a 12k res. from the d51 jumper in series and connect to pin 3 also...
I have a frequency counter mounted on the radio. So I know it's on frequncy. Certain radios I cant hear when around 100-200 feet of them. Past that I can hear everyone fine. wierd...
Thanks! I finally figured it out. It was looking for 8.2 volts. The IC was marked with small numbers barely readable! It works like a charm. The only thing now is that when I am close to some radios I have to crank the clarifier forward to tune them in. Distance is ok. But certain radios this...

I found directions to unlock the clarifier on my Grant xl. However I cant locate the Ic I am supposed to hook the one of the nob wires to. The number they gave isn't there. Any help?
Yes HAARP is an experimental weather "program" I have heard the interference on the 40 meter band before, last year around this time. I havent heard it recently I wonder if they changed freqs. Very earie sounding!!
I found a Realistic TRC-453 in my dads garage, with side band. Is this a good radio? Who made them. It sounds good for sitting in a garage for 5 years. Is there any mods or is it a junk radio. Kick it back.. 10-4!!!
I am driving a 2005 Mack Granite series truck. It came with 2 antennas pre-wired. Does anyone know what kind of antennas they use? They have the mack logo on them. I want to use a 450 watt amp but dont want to harm anything when I hook it up. They look like the straight wilsons with no coil keg...
