The price is right so I think I might get one. It's for the work truck I dont want to pay alot for a stick that has a tendency to get banged around and might grow legs when I park it for the night..

I have directv I have never got any signal from my 11 meter radios. (not for a lack of trying) the dish signal is digital, cb is analog. big difference. :lol:

Ok. when the amp gets here I will know for sure if the dead key needs to go down. the amp specs say the input is good up to 15 watts maybe I will be ok..

try this sounds like you have a noize problem with the superstar it must be more sensative to noize than the cobra. this has nothing to do with the antenna. I would try a noize filter. you can get them at most cb shops.
