Direct TV dish


I tried looking for the frequency range and I got one of there dishes frequency. There usally in the Ghz range. Hope this helps. Here are the specs:

Lazy,I'm a subscriber(directv) and have NEVER experienced
any interference at all. I've even had the ol 10-tube phantom
on and saw/heard nothing. My dish(on rooftop) is directly below my tower that the beams and imax 2000 are mounted on.
Aproximately 25' between them. I do,however,come thru my
surround speakers tho.BUT,only if I'm using the heat and that's
very,very rare. Shouldn't be a problem w/a neighbors dish.

It shouldn't get into the system, but I have experienced the following with my DirecTV system:

- RF on the coax shield getting into the receiver

-RF on the A/C house lines getting into receiver & TV.

Some wraps with the coax aournd a torrioid choke and a high pass filter solved the RF getting into the receiver via the coax.

A RF filtering power strip on the power cord solved the A/C issue.
 
I had my dish mounted on a chimney mount then I bought another mount and mounted my ANT99 on the same chimney and even ran some POWA :LOL: and never had a problem.
 
yeah it can bleed over onto the system, usuly its not your falt its the person who installed the dish, i have hade to correct many problems with lazy ass installers have done, thay don't properly ground the dish and the feedlines, usuly the dish is grounded if you running 2 recivers if their are 3+ recivers their is a "multi switch" that must also be grounded....95% of the time an installer will just bang out the job and not ground crap. if your gitting bleed over then check your grounding of your station and check your coax, then check the dish setup....with the feq ranges and proper grounding you can have the dish 2 feet from the antenna and not interfear with the transmission at all
