4/29/12 9:20 PM EST Band is open. I can hear a 10/10 net on .445. Gonna make some CQ calls on .455 UPDATE 10:15EST Was able to have 7 QSO's mostly CA and AZ stations. Maybe I'll catch some of you guys another time.

Oh, OK. That would be one of the "Strong Arm" :wink:rotors. We had one of those when I was a kid and used it to turn the TV antenna. Ours was one of the better models cause it employed a pipe wrench for greater turning force.:D

What kind of rotor are you using? Can't you just recalibrate it?

Perhaps a 10m repeater? It does have the typical female voice indicating the freq. Still no ID. Maybe there is something wrong on their end and not getting the ID in.

I've had problems loading pics as well. The only way I could get mine to upload was to do them one or two at a time. Anything above that wouldn't work.

I could be wrong but I seem to remember that the rule of thumb is that for every 100w you need 10a of power. Most PS's have two ratings of output, constant and peak. So one would want a PS that will give constant amperage due to voltage drop when you key up. I used to run a straight 6 transistor...
