Yeppers! Band was open for a little while. Long enough for me to make some Pacific basin contacts to put in the contest log. Three of which will be multipliers for doubling up on a different band. :D

Any body else made contact with this DX Expedition in Bhutan? I finally was able to last night on 15M. They must have a station with great ears because I only had him 5X3 here but I took a shot and they actually answered and gave me a 5X7 report. I rarely hear anything from that section of the...
Look into the Hex Beam for 20-6M. (I'm biased on this choice because I use one).:thumbup1: Small turning radius, light weight and good bang for the buck. Put up a wire antenna for the other bands and feed it with ladder or window line and use your tuner with it. As for mounting the Hex...

Gonna make some CQ calls on .455
UPDATE 10:15EST
Was able to have 7 QSO's mostly CA and AZ stations.
Maybe I'll catch some of you guys another time.

You still haven't answered Audio's question. :confused1:

Good Advice Capt.K.!:thumbup1: Upgrade!
In regards to the rig. I have a IC706MKIIG in the Pickup and a TS-2000 in the shack. I really like both of these rigs.
I preferred the 706 in the PU because of its larger display and the menus were a little less complicated.
My TS-2000 has...
Another quick way to make the determination is to listen for the station's call. Be logged in to QRZ. Search the call, click on the details tab and look at the bearing which will be from your location if QRZ has your location correct. The pattern on a beam is such that you don't have to be dead...
I've had problems loading pics as well. The only way I could get mine to upload was to do them one or two at a time. Anything above that wouldn't work.
I could be wrong but I seem to remember that the rule of thumb is that for every 100w you need 10a of power. Most PS's have two ratings of output, constant and peak. So one would want a PS that will give constant amperage due to voltage drop when you key up. I used to run a straight 6 transistor...
