I tried multiple times contacting them about alignment information for this radio. Never could get any information from them. I still have my radio and like it but their attitude when I asked about alignment information really aggravated me.

I just picked up a Cobra 29 ltd chrome that's not working. Radio is as dead as a door nail. Doesn't power on or anything. Looked for cold solder joints and anything burnt up but it all looks good. Any ideas of what else to check?

Ive got a Northstar NS-9000 I'm working on now. Radio is pretty much dead. Other than a little bit of noise from the speaker is does nothing. None of the lights light up or anything on it. Would a bad voltage regulator cause that or am I looking in the wrong spot?

Not getting 10.24 on the pll chip. tried replacing the crystal twice after having gone over the board with the soldering iron.

Does it after the radios has been on. Ive had radios do this where the pll side of the board had a bad connection but this one the transmit led is not turning red during transmit when the problem occurs. I seem to recall that being related to something else but I cant remember what now.

I have a General Lee here Im tinkering with. The radio is loosing receive and transmit. When you key the mic the RX/TX led will not change color. Its not a mic problem as Ive tried several different mics and it still does the same thing. Any help would be appreciated!

Its not stable. It shows less than 10.240mhz and every once in awhile it will lock right on 10.240.

What can be done to increase the power on a cobra 25 other than changing the final? Seems like most of the radios I see are set at about 2 watt dead key and they won't do much more than that. Ive got one sitting on my bench right now thats set at 2 watts dead key and will barely hit 5 watts...

Whats all involved in switching the final (2078) in a Cobra 25 ltd classic to a 1969? Is it as simple as just removing the 2078 and putting the 1969 in its place or are there other components that need to be changed?

I'm only getting about 80% modulation with a whistle. The radio is stock otherwise. I figured maybe something could be changed out to increase the modulation. I know 25s are capable of more than what this one is doing.
